Wii U Selling At a Loss

Nintendo has annouced that it’s to sell the Wii U at a loss as the company cuts back on its forecasted profit and sales figure for the year. The company has blamed stiff competition from smartphones and tablets as the cause of the loss. Its forcasted annual sales for the 3DS console has been downgraded to 17.5 million units, 5.4 percent lower while 3DS games sales is expected to drop by 4.1 percent with the Wii U selling at a loss. Xbox Music Replaces Zune Media

Microsoft has launched it’s replacement for Zune media. Simply known as Xbox Music, this service will be available on Xbox 360 games console from Tuesday 16 October.   Microsoft is hoping that this new service will be able to take on the might of Apple’s iTunes after the failure of the Zune media service which was discontinued in June.    Users will be able to choose between a free subscription service that will allow listners to stream music with occassional advertisement and a monthly subscription which is £8.99 ($9.99)    Xbox Music will also be available as a Windows-based deviced after the launch of Window 8 at the end of the month but will not be available on Windows 7 or Windows Phone...
